Hello, and welcome! I'm Yukari Powers, and I'm so glad you're here.

I was born and raised in Japan, where my love for art began at an early age. As a child, I was always creating and expressing myself through art. That passion for creativity has stayed with me throughout my life and eventually led me to photography.

Today, I'm proud to call Vancouver, Washington home. I'm a wife, a mother, a proud Ba-chan (the Japanese word for grandmother), and a devoted pet mom to my fur baby.  Family has always been at the center of my life, and it inspires everything I do behind the camera.
My serious photography journey started when I purchased my first DSLR camera to photograph my son's karate tournaments. What began as a way to preserve family memories soon became a lifelong passion.

Everything changed when my first granddaughter was born. I challenged myself to photograph her as a newborn, and from that very first session, I fell in love with newborn photography. Capturing those tiny fingers, sleepy smiles, and precious first days inspired me to specialize in preserving life's most cherished moments.

As the years passed and my experience grew, so did my passion for serving families in different stages of life. Now, my photography to include high school senior portraits and pet photography, celebrating milestones and capturing the unique personalities that make every client special. Whether I'm photographing a newborn, a cake smash for a one-year-old baby, a graduating senior, or a beloved family pet, my goal is always the same—to create timeless images that tell your story with authenticity and heart.

Based in Vancouver, Washington, I proudly serve families throughout the surrounding communities. I'm primarily an on-location photographer, creating portraits in the beautiful outdoor settings throughout Vancouver, Washington, and the surrounding areas. From golden-hour fields and scenic parks to peaceful forests and waterfronts, I love using natural light to create timeless, artistic portraits. However, for clients who prefer an indoor session—especially newborns and young children—I also offer a fully equipped mobile studio, bringing a professional studio experience right into the comfort of your home.
This allows newborns, children, pets, and families to remain comfortable in their own familiar environment while I create beautiful, professional portraits without the stress of traveling to a studio.

I believe that photographs are more than beautiful images—they are priceless memories that become part of your family's legacy. Whether displayed as wall art or passed down through albums, they become reminders of the people and moments that matter most. It is an honor to preserve those memories for the families I serve.
